  • Here’s some tips for the week before your session that will have you looking and feeling your best:

    1. Eat healthy food and drink lots of water. When you drink water, it has the amazing effect of making your skin look clearer and more youthful. Avoid alcohol and coffee which can make you look drained and dehydrated. Eating healthier food will also help you have more energy and feel more comfortable in your own skin.

    2. Get plenty of rest. Everyone looks their best when they’ve had a good night sleep. Think about waking up on your shoot day with no bags under your eyes. The other plus is you’ll be less stressed and not feel rushed to get ready.

    3. Plan your look. You want to look your absolute best for your session so that you only have to do it once for a long time. That requires planning. Plan out how you want to look and what you want your clothes and style to communicate. Hiring professionals can be a great way to elevate your look from good to great— hairstylist, makeup artist and a personal fashion coach.

    4. Think positively. Pump yourself up the days leading up to the session. Every person is photogenic when they naturally smile and feel confident in who they are. I promise that this will be a fun and painless experience! No negative talk will be allowed when we are together!

  • Here's a few tips that I typically tell people when they are deciding what to wear:

    1. Love it- Pick something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. If you like your outfit, it will definitely come across.

    2. Keep it Simple- The goal of your headshot is to highlight you. It's good to avoid busy patterns, bulky jewelry, fluffy fabric and prominent logos that will distract from your face or that might go out of style in a year or so.

    3. The Right Color- It's important to wear clothing that contrasts your skin tone. If you have a lighter skin tone, avoid white, beige and pastels. If you have a darker skin tone, avoid black and dark shades. Jewel tones are a great option for everyone.

    4. Get Help- If fashion is not your strength, ask a loved one for help or hire our professional stylist, Luisa. You can also bring multiple outfit options to your session so we can choose together.

  • We work with a wide variety of professionals throughout St. Louis including commercial actors, med school students, real estate agents, CEOs, sales people, entrepreneurs and more. No matter your industry, looking your best takes thought and preparation.

Think about your personal brand when you’re getting new headshots. Pick 2-3 words to describe what you want your pictures to say about you. Here are some words to get you thinking:

    Trustworthy | Confident | Approachable | Charismatic | Credible | Established | Stylish | Relatable | Thoughtful | Strong | Unique | Bold | Powerful

  • Jenn has been taking headshots for over 8 years now and has experience capturing people in every industry. She takes headshots for medical school and residency applications, actors, models, CEOs, sales people, financiers, musical artists, real estate agents, students, and more.

She is ready to get a great shot of you no matter your industry.

  • Yes! You will be given a ton of helpful guidance throughout the entire session. I will direct you through a variety of angles, poses and facial expressions to make sure you have a ton of options to choose from. It's my mission to make you feel as comfortable and confident as possible.

  • All of my packages include retouching that is done to look natural. A quality headshot starts with great lighting to make sure that you look your absolute best. In post-processing, I do some blemish removal, erase stray hairs, reduce lines, etc. However, it's very important to me that you still look like yourself.

  • It typically takes 7-14 days for me to edit and return your final images. If you need the portraits back within 1-3 days, it can be done for a rush charge of $50.

  • I am so happy when people end up liking so many of the pictures from our session together! You can purchase additional edits for $25 per image.

  • If you are feeling nervous or don’t like having your picture taken, you are not alone. For most people, myself included, getting pictures taken can feel vulnerable, awkward and even stressful. Cameras have this incredible ability to bring out our harshest self-critics. You'd be shocked by the frequency with which I hear, "I am the least photogenic person ever." And still, after six years, I have yet to meet an un-photogenic person.

We are going to have fun finding your best angles, highlighting your favorite features, and showing off who you are. I will coach you through a number of poses and give you feedback throughout the whole process. So quiet that inner hater and get ready to take some awesome headshots.
